Postage Shenanigans

I just found out that some of our wedding invitations arrived (or didn't) requiring the receiver to shell out 12-cents postage due. This news is even worse than the batch of invites sent back to our house by the Postal Service for not having enough postage. At least that could be rectified without anyone finding out. I'm just terribly embarrassed right now. You ever feel like you just want to crawl under some blankets and hide for days?

My suggestion: Make it a big joke during the reception. Put .13 cents in party favors and put them at the place settings.

This could be worse. You could have sent out the invitations with the wrong date.

Yeah, at least you didn't have to have them REPRINTED. TWICE. As I said the other day, screw Emily Post!

Who's this "Emily Post" anyways? ;o) No worries, this is pretty small potatoes as far as planning problems go. I doubt anyone reasonable would be pissed off about 12 cents.

Actually.. I think it worked out to be 23-cents for the one person that let us know about it. And I'd rather not tell any of the other guests about it since it seems that most people received their invitations without fanfare.
