Cradling The Sky

My back felt the curve and sharpness of the brick street beneath me. Tendrils of my hair crept out across the cobblestone as I gazed at the sky, framed by stark tree limbs. A blush of rose spread above as a warm breath of air grazed my cheek.

Pearlescent clouds gleamed against a smooth night sky. The moon pulled back and let go of startling burst of light into my heart.
