"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." -- Benjamin Franklin
I've recently been welcomed into the beer blogging community over at A Good Beer Blog. My first post was about legislation in NY state to create a beer trail. The post is here. A good many thanks to Alan for taking a chance on a Western NY woman who probably knows diddly about beer when compared to the other contributors on the blog.

A 'beer trail'? In New York? I can't imagine that being allowed, wouldn't be responsible.
But -- back in the day -- I do recall that the ability to have a drink in every bar on 2nd Street from downtown to the Falconer village line, while still remaining in something approaching a standing position, was an accomplishment considered to be of some import.
Now that was a beer trail.
In fact on this 90 degree evening, I'm sorely tempted to try it again. Of course nowadays I'd be lucky to make it to the VFW at 5th Street. And truth be known, I'd probably be content to stand, um, sit there.
