Fahrenheit 9/11: Verbatim Tran"script"

The script for the second most controversial film of the year now is available:

Part One

Part Two
Part Three

Addendum: I'm aware this goes to a pro-Bush site and is not a perfect transcript. It's still an interesting supplement to seeing the movie. I highly encourage everyone to see the movie, despite their political affiliations/beliefs. If you're going to criticize or praise the movie, you should at least see it before you make any commentary on it.

holy crap, dude. awesome work.

Seriously, what good is an inaccurate transcript? It does not make a "interesting supplement" to the movie, it merely misinforms.

I don't know what Anonymous is talking about - the transcipt I've read so far has been very accurate.

I just saw Fahrenheit 9/11 for the second time, quite a brilliant film. I am specifically looking for the quote made by Michael Moore towards the end of the film where he discusses how it is the people who live in the poorest towns and who attend the poorest schools that step up to protect the country, and all they ask is that we only send them into harm's way when it is absolutely necessary. I am hoping this line is in Part 3...

Where is Part III? Your guess is as good as mine. I was hoping the guy who runs Red Line Rant would have had it up by now, but I'm guessing he got distracted like a lot of us bloggers. Just so you know, I didn't write the alleged transcripts, just provided a link to them once I saw that some existed online. :-)

Prior Anonymous's comment that Moore doesn't care if you download the movie is a blatant falsehood. MichaelMoore.com has in fact begun investigations with Federal help to find out who has been cracking the site's security. This was posted last week on MSNBC.com and on cnn.com. Alas, either the poster is an uncritical listener to rumors or is himself among (it is believed) Republicans encouraging hacking of Moore's site.

I only read the first couple of pages of the transcript of "Fahrenheit
9/11",
and already I am baffled at how so many people can embrace such a
slanted
version of the truth. I am not a Republican or a Democrat, and I yearn
for
what is best for the USA, regardless of which party or political view
is in
power.
Fact: Richard Clark authorized the removal of the Bin Laden family
members
shortly after 9-11. He stated this under oath before the 9-11
Commission.
Fact: The removal of the Bin Laden family happened on Sept. 13,
when air
traffic was resumed, and any citizen could fly.
Fact: The September 11th Commission looked into how the Bin-Laden
family
was treated after Sept. 11th, and declared everything was done
properly. The
Bin-Laden family was interviewed (over 2 days), and it was ruled that
this
matter was handled in the correct manner.
Fact: The United States Secret Service does have uniformed
officers who
patrol ALL of the foreign embassies in Washington D.C., including the
Saudi
Arabia Embassy, the French Embassy etc.
It was at this moment that I stopped reading the transcript.
Implying
that the United States Secret Service are involved in some cover-up
with the
Saudi embassy is asinine. I really enjoyed "Bowling for Columbine,"
and I
thought it made some good points. This movie just seems to "prey on
our
fears," and give people outside of the United States another reason to
think we
want anything but a free society for all. It is sad that so many
mostly
partisan people are supporting this, and thinking they are doing it for
the
good of the U.S., when they are really further dividing a country.

I agree with the previous comment. That transcript sucks and that RedLineRants guy is a freaking fascist. The whole reason the movie is so forceful is that most of the material is videos of Bush & friends proving how STUPID and ARROGANT they are.

People who critique a film without having seen it are idiots.

You must watch the movie!

Hey, I saw the movie and I though it was a freaking laugh riot! A tour de farce of wacko conspiracy theories voiced by the one of the greatest egotists of our time!

Truly, the best parts are the Moore voiceovers, where he lectures the audience like they are a bunch of three year olds.

The sad thing is that Moore had the makings of a decent anti-war documentary. It's just he is so obsessed with his Anti-Bush theories that the emotional part of the movie is tainted.

It's too bad that many Democrats and the mainstream media bought this as a legitimate documentary. I'm afraid the Republicans are going to be using it to turn off undecideds to the Democrats.

It could be like the election in 1996 - so many independants were turned off by the tactics of the right that it made a difference in the election.

Michael Moore did the Republicans a favor when he made this movie.

Jeez, who gives a shit if it's not completely accurate? Let's see you do a better job.

Put up, or shut up, pal.

Thank you, anonymous, for your brilliant observations. I did not write the "transcript." Complain to that fellow and not me. I simply linked, like many other blogsters would.
